A surprisingly (for me anyway) strong action film from director Philip Noyce (Clear and Present Danger, Bone Collector, Patriot Games) with a good performance from Angelina Jolie who plays federal agent Evelyn Salt. A nice turn from Liev Schreiber as well and as always Chiwetel Ejiofor who is good in everything he does. Yes I know some of the stunts are ridiculously over the top but has that ever stopped somebody from not liking a film? If that's true then don't watch the last Die Hard movie or any of the new action movies coming out right now! Jolie has proved she can do these kinds of films (Mr & Mrs. Smith, Wanted) and I'd rather see her mix it up a bit with her more serious roles like Changeling and so forth. If you're an action fan with a pretty good script then by all means check this one out. Worth your time.
