Two and a half stars for the movie but 3 stars for making the movie look as good as they could with what limited funds they had. A group of scientists working on an island make a monumental jump in research where they can design their own pearls thereby having unlimited funds for their science work. They start experimenting with parasitic research on humans and all is well for a while. Of course it won't last and it doesn't. Fast forward years later and the great niece of the head of the science group is trying to sell what her stake is on the island. She soon finds out that there's not as much money as she thought there was available to her. Meanwhile there's another outbreak of parasites on the island. And soon all hell breaks loose. I wish this was better because this had a lot of potential to be a good b movie. As I said before from watching the extra behind the scenes short there wasn't a whole lot of money in this but they definitely put it all on the screen. The heart was definitely there...just not the delivery.
