You know I really liked the original cats and dogs movie back in 2001. I saw that in the theater with my niece and we both really enjoyed it. After seeing all the negative reviews about this one I was a little concerned that maybe it had been too long for moviegoers to care about the story and its characters. Well I was right on one point. Moviegoers stayed away in droves but the movie itself is actually really good as long as you liked the original. Of course we don't have Jeff Goldblum back with his family like the first one but a whole new premise with a little more emphasis on the animals and not so much on humans. Overall I had a surprisingly fun time with this one. Do yourself a favor, if you like the first one try this one out for size. I think you'll like it as well.
