I wanted to give this more than 3 stars but the main kid Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) is kind of a jerk to his friends and family. Great performance from Robert Capron as Rowley Jefferson, Greg's best friend since forever. This kid was the best thing in the film. Also, some nice turns from Steve Zahn & Rachael Harris as Greg's parents. They weren't given a lot to work with as this is really all Zachary Gordon's film but they did a fine job with what they had. Like I said if the kid was a little more likable I would have given it another half star.
