Well I'll say one thing about this movie. It's one of the most visually exciting movies I've seen in a long time. So many colors. The Cheshire Cat was amazing. I have never been a huge Tim Burton fan and this story has never been one of my favorites either. So if Alice In Wonderland is one of your favorite stories growing up I could see somebody loving this movie. There's really nothing that wrong with it. Top notch stars doing a great job. I must say Helena Bonham Carter is always interesting to watch. It's just that a lot of movies she stars in I'm not crazy about. I would like to see her do more contemporary roles but I don't think that's going to happen. And then there's Johnny Depp. Do you realise that he has not been in a film with a CONTEMPORARY setting since 2004?!!! (Secret Window-well I should say a modern contemporary setting. I consider Public Enemies a period piece). C'mon enough with the crazy costumes and being in every Tim Burton film forever. I'd like to see him in a contemporary setting. But's that's just me. I'd say if you like Tim Burton and the story you'll probably like this film.
