A french zombie film? Okay, well we are seeing the French doing all kinds of genre films. It's great to see them coming to our shores here. I say keep them coming! Basically a one note film where we see basically some people holed up in an abandoned hospital?, mental ward? The film opens with an ambulance tearing down a street with a person having some obvious problems health wise. We learn he's been infected and will have to be dealt with. To say they turn all nasty when they're infected is being too kind. These people are messy indeed. Well anyway it all ends up with the main female protagonist (played nicely by Helene de Fougerolles) driving like mad to the aforementioned abandoned building to take care of her boyfriend (?) (Francis Renaud) who looks like he has gotten bitten. She tries her best to keep everything together but soon she has more company then she wants. No, they're not mutants but soon all hell breaks loose in the building. And that's when the gore really hits the fan. This is one of those movies where not everything's all blood red but sometimes it's icky black (I think you know what I mean). Director David Morlet (in a first full length feature) keeps the action coming as much as can be considering the small amount of actors
present on screen. Not a bad little film if you're not expecting too much. If you and your friends want to see a gory zombie film and you've seen pretty much everything else that's out in that genre and aren't afraid of the dreaded (lol) subtitles then by all means go for it. It'll be alright.
