A paint by numbers script and direction by Sylvester Stallone makes this film a run of the mill action piece. If it wasn't for Jason Statham well I don't know. Eliminate all the a list actors and it's a total direct to video c movie (not a b movie). Dolph Lundgren (who is in this by the way, nice to see him in a theatrical movie again!) makes tons of these kinds of movies all the time. Nothing great here people but these action guys can do this movie in their sleep. Worth seeing once but more than that....well you be the judge.

The Expendables-Film Review
A paint by numbers script and direction by Sylvester Stallone makes this film a run of the mill action piece. If it wasn't for Jason Statham well I don't know. Eliminate all the a list actors and it's a total direct to video c movie (not a b movie). Dolph Lundgren (who is in this by the way, nice to see him in a theatrical movie again!) makes tons of these kinds of movies all the time. Nothing great here people but these action guys can do this movie in their sleep. Worth seeing once but more than that....well you be the judge.
