Here's a french mystery/suspense/drama from the french director Marina de Van (In My Skin). Starring Sophie Marceau (maybe best known for Elektra King from the bond film The World Is Not Enough or David Spade's neighbor in Lost & Found) and world renowned Italian beauty Monica Belucci. Sophie plays Jeanne, a mother of two and devoted wife who is a journalist by trade. One night as she prepares dinner for her family, she begins to see strange things from her family. Her children are doing strange arm signals and when she sees her husband do it from the reflection of a pitcher she asks what's going on. She then asks her husband why he moved the dinner table to where it is now. He answers her by saying it's always been right where it is. When there are other things happening she doesn't understand or doesn't make sense it is then when we see other questions being raised on why this is happening to her. A very well made film that I must say it is a little eerie and creepy (especially the dinner scene among some others) but for the most part a drama/mystery. I wasn't sure what to expect about this film since I put it in my Netflix queue over two months ago but I'm glad I did. I have to say that I think all of my Flixter friends would find something good about this film, especially Shawn. Now I think I figured everything out at the end of the movie but maybe not. Anyways it was a good time to get there and isn't that what we want in a movie? A good time to the end.
