Mercy-Film Review

Here we have a vehicle for Scott Caan who produced and wrote this film. It's about a writer who doesn't believe in love but out of the blue meets a woman and falls hard for her much to the surprise of him and all of his friends. Of course there wouldn't be a film like this if their wasn't tragedy coming his way and it does come. We even see his real life father James Caan who plays his dad in the film also (playing a character who gave up on love a long time ago). There was just something missing in all of this that I couldn't put my finger on it. Wendy Glenn was okay as Mercy, the title woman that Johnny (Caan) falls in love with. It was great to see Erika Christensen (Swimfan, Home Room) again. I just wish her role was bigger in the film. Every time she was on screen the film got better. And cute Alexie Gilmore (World's Greatest Dad) who I like every time she's in a film but I never know who she is. I've got to remember her from now on. I wish I could have told you it was better.
