You've seen it all before. Spoiled little rich girl causes problems at home so she gets shipped off to an english boarding school to help her grow up. But a nice energetic performance from Emma Roberts who plays a girl named Poppy (!) Morgan makes this a harmless little 90 or so minutes of your time. If you're tired of this kind of movie this film will not change your mind. Nice performance from Kimberly Nixon who plays Kate as one of Poppy's new friends. If you want to see Emma in an entirely different type of movie then check out Lymelife. She puts in a nice performance in that as well. It's kind of like the movie would be down the street and a few blocks over from the movie The Ice Storm. But in Wild Child Emma is definitely the star.
