This is a popcorn movie if there ever was one. You know the popcorn movie. Leave your brain at the door and just enjoy the ride. Looks great, even has the jumpy cuts that's so overused these days. The actors do a good job with what they've been given which isn't much. Jason Patric absolutely cheeses up the screen as the bad guy. It looks like he's enjoying himself. Chris Evans is basically playing the guy he always plays. I wanted to like this movie more but I can only give it 3 stars. In fact I can almost bet if you watch it once with the sound on and then watch it again with the sound off you will NOT MISS ONE THING. I even bet you'll be able to figure it out with no sound the first time you watch it! Best scene has to be the fight between Zoe Saldana and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. That was great. This wanted to be something more but with a lackluster script and a predictable storyline it just wasn't meant to be. And yet I still think all you action junkies will find it mildly entertaining.....as long as you don't think too hard!
