A star making performance from Patrick Fabian makes this mockumentary about a preacher who is doing his "Last Exorcism" worth a look. Fabian plays Cotton Marcus a man who has basically lost his faith and is going through the motions to pay the bills and to provide for his family. The way Fabian acts in this looks effortless. The key to a mockumentary is to believe that these are real people in these situations and Fabian absolutely nailed it. As for the rest of the movie there are some genuine creepy moments with Nell as the girl who supposedly has the devil in her. It kind of meanders along until the end of the film where it goes to a place that I had no idea it was going. For me it was surprising and acceptable within the context of the film. That's probably why it got the 3 stars and not the 2 1/2 stars. I would still recommend it to anyone who is into watching these mockumentary type films. And for Patrick Fabian's performance as well.
