Wow, this was a nice surprise! Could go 3 3/4 stars if there was a mark for it. A lot better that I expected and I would highly recommend it for the great performance from Emma Stone (who is going to amaze us for years to come; I would have never said that years ago when I first saw her) and a really fresh and tight script from Bert V. Royal (has only 2 other credits on IMDB, this by far his biggest and great direction from Will Gluck (Fired Up! which was a pretty fun film as well). A hilarious turn from Olive's (Stone) parents played with perfection by Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson. I could have seen a whole movie of these two! They were great! Huge recognizable cast from Thomas Haden Church, Lisa Kudrow, Malcolm McDowell to Amanda Bynes. Also a nice performance from Dan Byrd who plays Brandon, Olive's friend. Once again another high school movie with believable conversations between teenagers. Who'd have thought that I'd see two in less than a month! See this film!
